The Wake It Up Tour will visit 19 cities that include Seattle, WA; Las Vegas, NV; San Deigo,CA; Los Angeles, CA; and Portland, OR. Dem Hoodstarz, are the Bay Area’s newest and hottest kids on the block made up of wordsmiths Band-Aide and Scoot. "People believe because we are from the Bay we’re all Hyphy. We grew up in that era but that’s not what we’re about. Our music is a mixture of Hyphy, West Coast, East Coast and Dirty South. We do it all and The Wake It Up Tour will urge audiences not to sleep on us," says Scoot. With the Ambassador of the Bay, E-40 side-by-side on stage, fans can get ready and set to get their monies worth. "Expect me to perform old school vintage E-40 songs and new school current E-40 songs, expect leadership crowed participation , lots of energy, excitement and stage presence. One thing my momma always told me was where ever I go and what ever I do, show up and show out, Hello!," says E-40.
Dem HoodStarz sophomore album, Black Friday, is scheduled to drop November 21, 2008, but their first single, "Code of the Streets," is already receiving spins in several markets. There second release, "I Got A Problem," featuring Gucci Man, is gaining nods around the country as well.
Although Dem Hoodstarz hail from the Bay Area, they don’t hail to be all Hyphy. The two say they are all street and every time they grab a mic that’s what they represent.
We got hot tracks they need to hear," adds Band-Aide.

KOCH RECORDS ANNOUNCES NEW MIXTAPE BY SHEEK LOUCH
EXTINCTION: LAST OF A DYING BREED IN STORES ON
NOVEMBER 25TH, 2008
( New York, NY) ¯ KOCH Records is proud to announce the release of Extinction: Last of a Dying Breed, the brand new mixtape album by D-Block member Sheek Louch, on November 25th, 2008. This album contains all new material.
Sheek Louch, along with Styles P and Jadakiss, is a founding member of THE LOX, the Yonkers-based group who were the backbone of Sean "Puffy" Combs’ Bad Boy label during its heyday, the mid ‘90s. Hired as writers, the trio wrote and performed on Combs’ "I Got The Power," and "It’s All About the Benjamins," Mase’s "24 Hrs. to Live," the Notorious B.I.G.’s "Last Day," Mary J. Blige’s "Can’t Get You Off My Mind," and many others.
The Lox released their debut album, Money, Power & Respect in 1998—it reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. To date, THE LOX has sold 1.7 million albums.
Sheek Louch has also built a successful career as a solo artist. After releasing 2003’s Walk Witt Me, Sheek released After Taxes in 2005, which debuted at #23 on Billboard’s Top 200, and Silverback Gorilla earlier this year. Sheek Louch has sold over 450,000 units as a solo artist.
About Extinction…Last of a Dying Breed, Sheek Louch says, "Yeah man, this mixtape is for all my hoods, jails and group homes out there – all my fans. I just wanted to serve some food while I’m cooking up the main course. My new studio album is coming soon after. Hold Me Down!"
Alan Grunblatt, General Manager and Executive Vice President of KOCH Records, adds, "Sheek Louch is a successful core KOCH artist and he defines gangsta rap in New York."
Look for a new D-Block mixtape to hit streets in February!
11/8/08: Lunatic Preps Unity Compilation & Drops 1st Single
Aspiring journalist, Lunatic (www.raptalk.net and more) has secretly been preparing a debut compilation album of his own in recent months. The project, appropriately titled "Unity" will be dropping via free download on multiple hip-hop website media networks on January 11, 2009.
"I did this album for many reasons. One being that people don't seem to see unity in hip-hop right now. Me being a journalist who really has networked hard and connected up with multiple artists from the 5 major coasts, it only made sense to do a unity-themed album; Hip-Hop needs it" says Lunatic.
The theme sure does fit the project and it's content. With artists from all over the continent such as Bad Lucc, Spark Dawg, Knoc-turn'al, Yung O, Warren G, Trick Trick and more making guest appearances, fans are in for quite a diverse listen.
"I never understood why Hip-Hop fans must get behind one coast and only support that one coast. Even as just a Hip-Hop listener, I always enjoyed music from every single coast and from many different artists; it never mattered to me where your from; as long it's good music, that's what it's all about" adds Lunatic.
The first single from the project, "Get Back On It" which features Knoc-turn'al and Jaguar is now available here:
